The wisdom of Practical Empowerment

Do you feel emotional turmoil recurring in your life that seems to have no solution?—anger issues, low self esteem, lost love, nagging fears, insecurities, unresolved trauma, depression?

Do you feel the answer to these problems awaits you on the horizon, is within your grasp, but yet seems so far away given the current level of stress/pain?

Does the idea appeal to you of having several practical tools to overcome such emotional obstacles?

Then CBT, (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), may be for you.

CBT is a fancy word for identifying those automatic thoughts/beliefs/patterns which trigger negative emotions in us. To identify these specific issues and emotions and identify cognitive distortions and create clarity around our issues is the healing power of CBT. This process leads us to discover layers of ourselves which we were not aware of. We are often surprised at the results, discovering that what we thought was the source of our discomfort is not really it.

A lot of unanswered questions can arise, and these questions are put to the psyche. We use our subconscious to validate what is true for us and what isn’t, and let it tell us whether we are getting closer to the heart of our issues.

Our body acts as an inner pendulum, which can point us to the truth. Taking the next steps to embrace a more realistic version of the mechanics around our issue is the key. The practice is surprisingly effective and can be applied either singly or in groups or with a guide. People have described the experience of CBT as ‘a great weight lifted from the shoulders’ when successful and securing a ‘new lease on life’.

Chris offers a service as a guide to facilitate the process of deepening into awareness around our issues, using CBT as a base to ask ourselves the right questions to bring about peace and clarity in our life.

Remuneration is suggested on a donation basis.
